can you guys help me out with some brands that I should look at?

Best very light frame is the Scott CR1. (<- that's a period).
Don't get the elliptical chainrings, though.

Another great suggestion! See, I knew you guys could help ;> So far:

    Time, Orbea, Scott

Just came across another extended seat tube frame. You didn't know the C4
Syrius, but how about Ridley ? Ridley has its new top top top top frame
just the way you want it, and it's called the Noah. Looked pretty to me. I
give up here. You can probably find more on your own, but this one I saw in
person. Yes, pretty, but from a guy's point of view, perhaps.

C'est le contraire du vélo, la bicyclette.
Une silhouette profilée mauve fluo dévale
    à soixante-dix à l'heure : c'est du vélo.
Deux lycéennes côte à côte traversent
un pont à Bruges : c'est de la bicyclette.

Cool! Thanks, Sandy, I'll check it out. BH makes a nice one, too, but they
don't respond to emails (don't know if it's a language barrier). I also saw
that their factory had been recently bombed by terrorists.
