    No. For one thing, they are NOT recommended for diabetics.
    For another, the studies I've found don't show they work.
    They also don't show they *don't* work. One of them showed
    something like a 1/2 percent difference in weight loss
    between people who used them and people who didn't, but
    that's not really conclusive... So, anyway, I'd recommend
    waiting for further study before using them.

    I've been using one for about three weeks now. I'm using the
    kind that contains Phase 2 (white kidney bean extract). I
    did not use it with the intent necessarily to block carbs,
    but I read that it was an effective way to lose abdominal
    fat. When I first started using it, my numbers seemed to
    drop a bit. But it's hard for me to say if there is any
    relation because I was also going through a period of time
    where I was sick off and on. Actually more on than off. And
    I'm no longer sick. So being well may be what is causing my
    numbers to be a bit lower. I will continue to try them for 3
    months and then report back any findings.

    Are those studies about weight control, or about blood
    glucose spikes?
