Anyone use this and can comment? LBS has them on sale for half price 199 DKK and I just broke the bolt on my Headlight Headstrong which I don't like much anyway.
Is it dependant on the topbolt thingy to keep it together or how does the top grip the steerertube?

The top bolt is critical. That's actually what serves to set and maintain the bearing preload. If the star-fangled nut inside the steerer tube is still OK, a replacement bolt would fix you up. Unless of course, the Cane Creek siren song is calling.....

Alas its not that bolt that broke. The Stronglight Headstrong upper cover clamps around the steerer with a small 4 mm hexbolt. Thats the one that broke and I can't get the broken bit out. Guess its Cane Creek for me.
When you have the replacement, bring the broken bits to Leitra so we can break it up properly, while we try to fix it 0:-)
Heh, when do you start in the new year? Its a pretty crappy headset btw so not really worth fixing. The Cane Creek S2 was half price btw. Local dealer is discontinuing so Roadbike Shop have them on sale. Any color as long as its silver.
Gonna go down to Moreno and have it changed. Damn thing didn't have the decency to break before the cups went on the new frame.

If you want it to break fast, don't buy Stronglight. Or did I misunderstand you? ;-)
No, if you want a crappy headset buy Stronglight. At least this one. Stronglight was reinstalled on new frame and then broke. Now being replaced with the Cane. Hopefully that will perform better. *knock on wood*
