Let me see if I can explain. Years ago we had a Prime Minister who had
a very large, prominent jaw - not unlike John Kerry's. We have a city
in Saskatchewan called Moose Jaw. Comedians in Canada used to refer to
said ex-Prime Minister as Moose Jaw. He isn't in the White House.
Neither is John Kerry.Lybbe

Goal - 150I'm Canadian and didn't get it. I've never heard of one of our PM's being
called Moose Jaw. I know who it refers to, but never heard it in that
context. And I don't think John Kerry has near the chin Mulroney does -
thus the confusion.Either way, it wasn't funny or smart. Kind of dumb, and off topic.

Go Google 'Kerry Cartoon' and see 'The Jaw' as the satirical world sees it,

I am also Canadian, and I've never heard that Prime minister referred to
as "Moose Jaw." And no, I haven't been living under a rock, and I'm not
particularly young. We always called him BM the PM.

Must be an Ontario thing. If I had the time or inclination I'd look up
references from CBC. The term MAY have originated with Rick Mercer.

'whatshisname'!
