Motorcycle dangers
From Mr Paul Smith

Sir, I am becoming increasingly alarmed at the rising number of
motorcycle deaths. These accidents, whether the fault of the
motorcyclist or other road users or even road conditions, are
tragedies for a great many people. The main problem seems to me to be
the lack of protection a motorcyclist has. I wonder whether we should
start looking at restricting the use of
motorcycles to, say, minor roads, or even banning them altogether?

Those B roads with blind junctions and farm vehicles turning out of them -
just what a motorcyclist needs to keep *really* safe?

I don't see whats rational about banning motorcycles on the grounds they're
not well protected from the stupidity of some motorists.

What's rational about banning motorcyclists because they "lack protection"?

Isn't it best to look at removing the source of the danger first?

No, he is just *the* Pawl Smight. It's been clear from the start that
the man is mentally deficient, as the term used to be, and this, and
SafeShitheads go to prove it. Just because the two personalities that
inhabit is brain live 350 mules apart does not mean they are not
interconnected - vis quantum entanglement of photons, for example.

when I read the letter I took it to be an hyperbole, intended to draw
attention to the absurdity of such thinking and drawing attention to
the injustice of inflicting such restrictions on any road user.
