Can bent/damaged cassette teeth be fixed?

Neglected chains might be the drummers of cycling, but what about those bent cassette teeth? If a chain can be saved with a little TLC, can we extend that same grace to a cassette? Are there any unconventional methods you've tried, like using pliers or a hammer (gasp!) to coax those teeth back into shape? Or do you think it’s better to throw in the towel and just let the cassette retire? 🤔
