If its a "loose cogs" cassette, then it appears to be more
like a veloce/daytona 9 cassette that retails for like $50,
and can be found for as little as $30:

There used to be a Chorus loose cog cassette. But it was
gone by 1999 I am pretty sure.

Your loose Chorus cogset from 1998 is actually a leftover
1997 model. In 1998 Chorus officially went to the spider
carrier thing. But this did not actually get to customers
until Spring 1998. I bought a 1998 Chorus group in early
February 1998 and the spider cogset was not available. So I
got the loose cogs.

$60? I don't know about that. For all steel I think about
$40 was the price. For the titanium/steel set, it was about
$80 or so. I ended up with both a ti/steel and all steel but
don't recall the exact prices. My group supplier gave me
some good prices on the upgrades to my kit. I think my extra
1997/1998 cogset came with the lockring.

As far as people buying it on eBay, I guess W.C. Fields was
right. Nashbar sells the Veloce 9 speed loose cogset for
$39.95 right now. I bought two sets last year when they were
$34.95 each, and I had a 20% off coupon. The newer
Campagnolo cogsets, loose and carriers, incorporated the
Shimano patent ramps on the cogs to help shifting a little
bit extra. In 1998 and 1999, Shimano's patent was still in
affect. So Campagnolo did not add this extra until 2000 I
believe. I'm not sure it really makes much difference, but
if I had the choice I would get the newer cogs just in case.

You are referring to ExaDrive, and Campagnolo had that in
1994..

You are referring to ExaDrive, and Campagnolo had that

On this Branford page they discuss Exa Drive and Ultra
Drive. On the Campy Only page they also discussed the Ultra
Drive and said it was due to Shimano's patent running out.

Below is copied from the Branford website.

EXA Drive and Ultra Drive - How they differ...

The above photo shows an EXA Drive cog on the left and a new
10 speed, Ultra Drive cog on the right. Note how the two
step, machined indentation slightly varies between both
cogs. The "O" stamping plays no mechanical role; it is there
only as a visual indicator for proper cog stacking. This
machined indentation is responsible for helping to pick up
your chain when you up shift, and move it on to the next
cog. EXA Drive indentations were originally designed for
Campy 8 speed chains and cassettes back in the mid 1990's.
It is designed to engage the chain rivet head first and then
the outside chain plate. EXA Drive works very well with both
8 and 9 speed systems. Campagnolo 10 speed chains do not
have protruding rivet heads and pose a problem for EXA
Drive. Thus the invention of Ultra Drive. The Ultra Drive
indentation is designed to catch the chain's outer plate and
assist the chain up to the next cog. In early spring 2000,
Campagnolo quietly started to introduce Ultra Drive cogs on
all of their 10 speed cassettes. In late 2000 they made it
official and raised the price to cover the new design and
machining costs. Ultra Drive is essential for smooth
shifting on 10 speed sytems. It is also designed to work
with all Campy 9 speed systems and chains. We noticed a
large improvement in shifting with 10 speeds but only a
slight difference with 9 speed systems. Both EXA Drive and
Ultra Drive cassettes work perfectly with all past and
current Campagnolo 9 speed systems. You can even mix Ultra
Drive and Exa Drive cogs on a cassette.
