Campy 30T cog?

you may get difficulties with standard Campa derailleurs (biggest cog: 29, you should use the
'medium' or 'long' derailleur-types).

I can't find any 9sp x-30 Shimano cassettes, only x-27, x-32, and x-34. What are you referring to?

interested. It did not work well with my short-cage derailleur, and never tried it with a long-cage.
I was told that it really was meant to fit as a granny on their short-lived mountain bike equipment,
but that has not been confirmed. It is the old style 8-speed, and has little wear.

I also have a 15-tooth first-position cog in my bag of old parts.

I would be interested to know if a 30T cog existed for Campy 8sp, just for the sake of knowledge.
And then wonder why they did not continue it on the 9sp stuff. But I know it would not work on my
9sp cassette.

I have a 9sp 13/28 Campy cogset and also, a new 28t x 9sp cog. Will sell either.

The "old" geometry deraileurs handle 32t better than the new. They also produce Shimano spacing when
used w/new shifters. Tom

These are punchmarks to straighten the blanks and all the large cogs had them.

Not sure. When Campagnolo made MTB stuff and they were 'micro drive' with small small rings, they
may have.

I had a bike so equipped, and IIRC the cogs only went to 28. What they did have were triple cranks
that used a rear cog as an inner chainring. Kinda silly, really, but I guess it was because they
didn't have chainrings that small.

Earlier Campy OR was atrocious, but Record OR actually worked pretty well. It was probably better
than Suntour (but not as good as Shimano). It had some really cool looking canti brakes. Too bad
Campy never went into MTB stuff. They still could, and I still think they'd make a killing.
