  1. I have a Campag record 9 speed cassette and have just received a new pair of Campag Eurus wheels. The problem is the cassette will not fit despite the wheel despite the latter being 9 or 10 speed compatible (hub is Campy not Shimano). I will be calling the supplier on monday but would welcome Any suggestions as to why this might be the case? Have they changed the fitting on the cassette since I bought mine? Thanks

That's strange. Are you sure they didn't accidently send you one with the HG style FW body (WH-KX1 or WH-KX2)?

Thats what I was thinking as well 🙄

  4. Record 9 spd cassettes may not all fit the post 2001 Campy hub body. Know there was a change in that year with the design of the parallogram arrangement of the RD. Check www.branfordbike.com

Right- a change in the RD ....... but not the hub/cassette body. All Campy 1997-2006 hubs can do 9 or 10 speed cassettes. 😄

Are you sure that your 9s cassette is in fact a Campy record and not a conversion cassette from a shimano-compatible freehub set up to work with your Campy drivetrain? Otherwise, Adam-from-SLO is right that 1997-present should work with 9s or 10s [with the only issue being the requirement for different lockrings in certain circumstances (such as 11T small cog)].

Thats what I'm looking for.. is a 11-tooth w/lockring... for Campy 9-speed system. Anyone have one for sale ????

  8. Thanks all for comments. I tried a friends campag cassette on the Eurus wheel and it fits nicely. Therefore i guess it must be the cassette that I have. It came from Mavic Helium wheels and it has been suggested this might be why it doesn't fit. Is this correct and why? Also, I'm not certain how old the cassette is. It is is excellent condition but was owned by someone before me.
