Last February a bunch of us from here stayed in the Weem Bunkhouse
when we went on a winter skills course in Aberfeldy. I'm a little
geographically challenged and you'll have to check the map for the
distances involved, but we were walking on Ben Lawers. There was a car
journey involved, though.

check on pub & restuarant as the nearest is seasonal. Stuart will be
able to help you out.

I've used some of those in the past sleeping in my car ("it's a very
small winnebago guv, honest"😉. (Or "Here is the tow car, the caravan is
making its own way later"😉. Or did you want comfortable??

I've camped at the site just inside Aberfeldy a few Octobers ago.
It's mainly a caravan site but not too busy this time of year.
Easy enough to wander into town for food and drink, but it's a
drive to Lawers.

Dead good place.

It's next door to the hotel - so much so that it looks like it is part
of it. When I was there the hotel had just changed hands and was
closed. But there was another bar restaurant within staggering
distance (I think it was the Aileen Chraggan) and another bunkhouse up
the hill from that.

I've camped there, and it's pretty good. A long walk to the pub
