Try fitting something inside your front triangle... other than that, you're best bet is a [censored] pack
strap or something.

Usually I fix my camera-bag on the rucksacks stripes wich come over my chest. It's very easy to take the camera out and usually it is not so easy to fall directly on your chest😄

I don't have any experience of this, but if I would transport an expensive camera on my bike I would
want to wear it low and up front over my stomach. It'd have to pack pretty flat so that my legs
wouldn't bump it when pedaling. The reason for this is of course that it is very easy to protect it
there if you take a fall. For instance when my kids were to small to ski on their own ( less than
two years old) I would carry them in a frontmounted harness rather than a back mounted. If I'd have
taken a spill it would have been much easier to huddle up around them than if they were on my back.

Thanks for the tips guys. I've gone for a small padded Lowepro camera bag and will be fitting to a
pannier that will attach to the back of the seatpost.

Chatting to a friend about it today he told me of a guy he knows that is paralised after falling off
a motor cycle whilst carrying an unbreakable thermosflask in his back pack. He had landed on his
back on top of the flask Ouch.

The best thing to have on your back is a filled CamelBak.
