Let's see how we can make sense of this...

    Camenzind rides for Phonak.

    Tyler Hamilton rides for Phonak.

Tyler Hamilton used to ride for USPS.

Lance Armstrong currently rides for USPS.

    Camenzind dopes.

    therefore...

    Lance Armstrong must dope. QED.

  3. They caught him in an out of competition test. They need to sequester the
top pros during the racing season. While he claims to have used EPO on his
own, without team knowledge, that little line is wearing rather thin these
days. The result is that everyone on his team is tainted. But don't worry,
Phonak won't turn into another Cofidis, I swear that on the grave of my
    daughter's dead gerbil, Joey.

Why is the old civil rights era freedom song You Can't Fine Me In the Back

I should add that Joey the gerbil met a terrible fate. He escaped while we
were out one afternoon and was eaten by our cats. They left his carcass,
such as it was, in our bedroom doorway; tribute, we think. We now have Joey
II who has a nicer disposition anyway.

Exactly what did you do to kill your daughter's gerbil?

poor joey. cats don't always kill mercifully either (but please don't
let your daughter read that 🙁 )

joey the pitbull had the opposite (knock on wood). i found her weighing
35 pounds, so skinny i thought she was a freaky looking whippet.

now she weighs a fat 55 pounds and is spoiled and kissed more than she
    probably wants.

Sorry to burst your fantasy, but Keirin riders are sequestered during the

exactly how is that bursting my fantasy? are keirin riders notoriously

Nothing. You know, he had this desire to escape the safety of his
cage--almost a death wish. He knew that one cat in particular was always
trying to get him. Still he somehow managed to get his head through an
opening in the cage and with his folding shoulders was able to get his whole
body out in the wider world. I hope he went down fighting.

Actually, I mis-spoke as to Joey II. He's a full sized hamster with a
wonderful disposition. His disposition is better than most Lance tifosi at
    rbr.

Sorry, but the last time I checked gerbils still lacked the mental
capacity to reason. Hence I doubt he could associate freedom with
    danger from the cat.

I agree, but I would have thought the survival instinct would have kept him
in the cage. The hamster, on the other hand, is much more adept at building
a burrow that completely hides him during the day. He seems to be at least
    as smart as David Millar.

Takes what you feed him and doesn't fuss about it? Accepts the cage you put him
in without making life difficult for you?

Did you meet Lance yet, Brian? --TP

PS Our hamster (Bevo, aka Buddy) nips intruders. He's a good 'un.

Keirin riders are sequestered during tournaments to isolate them from the
betting public, i.e. to keep the riders from 'throwing' the races. Why the
potential is apparently there for bike jockeys but not for horse jockeys, I
    don't know.

There used to be a link to a diary (Shaun Wallace maybe?) from one of the
non-Japanese riders invited to compete in the annual International Keirin
series, but I can't find it now.

Well, if you like well-toned Japanese cyclists, I'd say fantasy intact.

Ahem. Keirin riders are sequestered mostly to avoid corruption due to
bribery and race-fixing. I don't have any details at hand, but I assume
that riders are sequestered once the race seedings are done.
