Calnago frame size

What I did when buying my Dream Plus was to go to www.competitivecyclist.com and use their fit calculator, using the c-t figure and www.colnago.com or www.competitivecyclist.com section on frame geometry I matched up the frame size that was best for me according to the calculations. Several months of riding confirms it is a perfect fit for me.

If you're gonna invest that kind of money, get a professional fit.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that colnago are designed to be used with a long stem and the saddle back, so you may want to get a shorter frame in comparison to other brands.

Nah, myth.

Get fit properly. And then note that they measure to the top of the collar, not ctc on the seat tube. I ride a 56cm square ctc, and would be just fine w/ a 57 ctc as well. But my Colnago is a 58cm, and a 59 would arguably fit me better.

What??.... A 56 square is a 56 seattube and 56 toptube. A 59 colnago has a 56.9TT.

Yes, I know (my 58cm C40 has a 56.3TT). I am referring to my other bike (which still isn't exactly square). And yes, a longer top tube would be a compromise that would fit me arguably better because with the longish legs I have, I end up quite high above the TT, and need a lot of spacers/upslope to the stem. With a larger size, I'd end up with a longer TT, but also the HT would start higher up.
