~patches~ said:The end of this month I'm hosting a party of which I thought HP would be a
good theme. Surprisingly decor is proving very easy but the foo is not.
I have black cloth and mini lites to simulate the sky they talk about as
well as gold chargers for plate. I'm at a loss of food ideas. Ideas
anyone>
Who will be attending this party; is it a group of kids or adults? And just
how substantial should the food be?
The books keep saying that the wiz-kinder drink pumpkin juice, but that's
rather nasty stuff by itself. The recipe at
www.mugglenet.com/misc/rosmertas/pumpkinjuice.shtml doesn't look too bad,
though. Butterbeer seems like a viable alternative:

The books also mention roast fowl (of one kind or another), steak-and-kidney
pies, treacle pudding, and of course the "Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans".
The latter item is actually sold: www.costumecraze.com/HP42.html
Without a better description of the group and the intent of the party I'm
not able to come up with more detailed suggestions, though maybe
www.chiff.com/pop-culture/harry-potter-recipes.htm can lead you in the
direction you want to go.
