rather nasty stuff by itself. The recipe at

though. Butterbeer seems like a viable alternative:

The books also mention roast fowl (of one kind or another), steak-and-kidney
pies, treacle pudding, and of course the "Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans".

Without a better description of the group and the intent of the party I'm
not able to come up with more detailed suggestions, though maybe

Baked or fried piles of chicken drumsticks, mashed potatoes, corn on the
cob, bread rolls and butter, grilled or steamed sausages......

My thought exactly -- the book goes into great detail (IIRC) about what
was served at their feasts, could be a good starting point...
