    Thor Hushovd needs a blood transfusion fast!

    Do you have any bags of blood layin' around that he can use?

    Thor, in full sprint, cut his right arm when he was hit by a giant PMU hand
    worn by an agitated spectator. At the hospital, he was given 3 stitches and
    some scotch tape on the 5 centimeter long cut.

    Thor said, "I am well, I will undoubtedly set out again tomorrow, but I do
    not know if I will be able to pull on the handlebars in a sprint because of
    the large muscular shock to my arm, but I still want the yellow jersey."

    So, if you have some bloody bags, please help. Thank you.

    Seriously though, what would the situation be if Hushovd actually
    received a medically necessary transfusion of some else's blood yet was
    otherwise able to continue.
    Would he fail a blood test as a result?
    Jonathan Vaughters in 2000(?) comes to mind, being prevented from
    having a bee sting legitimately treated with otherwise banned drugs.

    But of course the drug restrictions are to protect the athletes'
    health.

    Seriously though, what would the situation be if Hushovd actually
    received a medically necessary transfusion of some else's blood yet was
    otherwise able to continue.

    I don't even play a doctor on the internets, but I doubt it is possible. Any
    injury that severe would be insanely dangerous to ride with.

    I WAS a moralist, but found being an [censored] was easier and more fun,
    as long as you remember to duck the punches. So I forgot four or five
    times, what the heck, mouth breathing isn't all that bad.

    Perhaps you've hit on a court defense strategy, just claim you were
    storing blood in case you required a transfusion.

    Scatter examples of situational ethical ambiguity around the doorway
    and when they open the door to examine them more closely, harpoon them
    and reel them in.
