Quoted message said:I thought about putting a couple of skinless chicken breasts in a crockpot and then pouring a
couple of cans of Cream of Mushroom soup over them. If I cooked this on low, all day, would the
chicken get done? Would breasts with skin be better so the chicken fat mixes with the soup?
In the past I usually would bake this and pour the gravy over bread on a plate and then place the
breasts on top. Very good. Do you think mixing egg noodles with the sauce and then cutting up the
chicken and mixing it would be good?
Thanks in advance for your help. Mark Ferrante
I've always cooked a meal similar to this (no veggies in the mix) and have tried it with boneless
skinless chicken, just skinless chicken with bones, and chicken with skin on and bones in. I've
tried it in the crockpot and in the oven baked (I always add 1/4 cup of sherry in the sauce tho. So
good!) Anyway, the chicken and sauce has always come out the tastiest when I leave the bones in and
skin on, without a doubt.
After I bake mine, I always place the chicken over cooked white rice and pour the sauce over it.
It's really good! - - Oh, then I have veggies on the side. :-)
