  1. My last visit to this NG! (I may look in again in about 6 months time to see
    if it is still alive)

Sad to say it is being totally ripped apart by these disturbing posts by
trolls AND the people who respond to them.

I have found it to be a useful, interesting and responsive NG in the past
    but enough is enough

No response is required because I shall not see it.

My thanks to all those who have faithful to the aim of cycling on here.

With the effective use of filters, you almost never see the trolls.

Funny, your post is a troll in itself. It served no purpose but to
[censored], moan, and bait. Yes there are some real wing-nuts on the group,
like the profoundly dim Sorni--but the signal to noise is still strong.

Typically socialist Brit of you to complain and walk away without
taking the initiative in helping make this a better group. I'm a Swede
in the states and I know the mentality well, it's the symptom of an
overly zealous nanny state that gels spinal columns.

Too bad you're not reading this, but you've achieved your goal, trolled
    and gotten a response. Congrats.

Now THAT hurts. Go ride your bike before the recall notices arrive! LOL

Strangely enough, I've found myself in agreement with you a few times
recently. I've scheduled a checkup with a doctor.

Good riddance to another English nut case! He posts like a troll to this
group, repeating the same message on several threads. And he is complaining
about trolls himself in his own message! Go figure. Why he doesn't stay on
his own UK cycling group is a mystery since that group is just chock full of
    screwballs like himself.

    And this wasn't noise?

Eh, maybe, but storming off on a Huffy[1] is a grand tradition on
    Usenet.

FAWK, the OP could be sitting there tallying up the score before
dropping in with a new nick.

Whoever it was that advocated the use of a killfile as the first line
of defense against serial trolls, I quite agree with them. Five
minutes spent identifying the top recent offenders removed over 500
posts. It was just shy of that until I added a couple of selected
    subject items as well.

[1] Well, what would you expect a troll to ride, a Giant?

So what is a nut and a screwball (and a scardy cat) like Werehatrack doing
on Usenet in the first place. Is not there some nice moderated forum where
he could repair to for his peace of mind. But if you rare on Usenet then be
prepared for some fireworks. It goes with the territory after all.
