I moved the rearbrake on my VK2 a bit and took some carbon off to fit an S-Lick rear. Seemed to work okay. Then today I pumped it up to 90 psi and that took care of the clearance. :-( So its Stelvios for me until my Conti GP shows. The frontwheel was a lost cause from the beginning. ;-)
Anyone reasonably close by want to buy a pretty new 559 folding S-Licks? (100 km on it. Reasonably close means Sjælland I guess.)
While on the subject of my VK2. I found one weakness. The clear coating on the frame is extremely sensitive to rubbing cables etc. Just a few trips and it had a small groove in it and scratches galore. So I had to buy me some fake carbon rubbadubstuff to protect the real carbon. Sorta ironic but it looks okay. ("Proline bike protection set" it was called) Current or future VK2 owners might want to do this also. The areas I had trouble with was the right rearstay (gearcable) and a spot on the frame between seat and fork where the chaintube made scratches. Prolly need a bit for the front brakecable and front der-cable too.
Is Proline bike protection especially made to re-surface carbon parts, like forks? Does it come in a choice of colors? Thanks!

Serious? Isn't it going on the Streetlegal? I might be interested - how close are the p***ture fairy with the tire? Can i get the 406 too at a reasonable price?

Brake and frame. Whittling more off the frame will get it uncomfortably close to the hole for the brake. And I can't move the brake further forward anyway if I want the pads to hit the rim. (I want ;o) )

Nah I had a spare Nokian Ultra Tour that I tried and didn't like on the TE. Went on the front of the M5. And I have a matching 406, yes. Also new. Thought you use 451 though? 100 DKK each sound unreasonable? I think I usually get skinned for 160 when I buy 'em. Punctureresistance depends on what you ride over with them. Glass is the most common culprit.
Deal. I'm going to make a racefront for the Evita - Asym. fork/wheel in 406 and chain beside the wheel.
Wanna my forko carbone? Notta assymmetrica but you getta ze brake and wheel too and save 100 DKK as I was gonna throw the S-Lick after the buyer for free. Or does the Evita use 1 inch headset? I forget. I have my old 406 Evitafork with discbraketabs in the attic if you want it. Thread a bit thrashed but its free.

1" alas. I don't have the guts to drill the frame - besides the weightsaving isn't worthwhile on the Evita. A hell of a deal anyway, but I'm throwing my money after my next FWD. I had a look at the 406. There were some cuts in the thread with embedded stuff in them. I picked those out and none had penetrated the kevlar. I think its a fairly soft rubber compund so it tends to pick up stuff like that. It also meant I usually used two sets a year. (3-3500 km on each set).
Anyway have a look at the small one. If you think theres too many cuts I can take 25 DKK off. On the other hand you are getting a fork free of charge. ;-) Will mail you bankstuff later.
