trucks and Kryptonics Limerocks for a couple of Criterium Setas. It was
a good trade at the time. The Lira was sky high-my first exposure to
currency markets. And they said skate boarding was a waste of time.

We had three skate parks to ride in Colorado Springs in the late 70s,
plus a nice concrete ditch near my house with a nearly vertical ramp on
top (plus various homemade ramps). You're probably right about the
balance, but my ankles paid a price from all the falls.
The skate park in downtown Salida calls to me every time I walk by, but
my aging bones (41 tomorrow) convince me to resist.

I skate the park pool here from time to time. I usually slam once and I'm

It's the only flick I have ever pre-ordered on DVD. There are more
than just a few memories there, including meeting a couple of those
dudes way back when at SoCal skateparks like The Concrete Wave and
Skatopia. One of them even graced a good friend's backyard halfpipe
one sunny afternoon.

My biggest fear of skating is re injuring my shoulder separation. Its
going on 11 with few complications and I'd like to keep it that way.

Heh heh... I had my first board in '68 or '69 - a simple plank called (IIRC) a
"RoadRunner" Way too short, little hard wheels like on the roller skates of
that era - really skiddy if you weren't careful, hence it was also my last
board.
