  1. Hi to all.

I found a curious bicycle on Ebay but I'm not confident in buying because I
don' know the producer. Have you ever heard about EE Bicycles?

    Know what?
I might know the seller in Pavone Canavese, just outside of Ivrea.

Well I don't know the manufacturer, but the components seem pretty good.
And well frames don't fail very often.

Very very true. There are plenty of sellers that sell /junk/ on thebay
And the stuff that is worth anything often sells for too much money. I
used to buy and sell stuff on there, but it's way to big now.

    [excessively long link snipped]

No direct data, but here are some observations:

Until the auction ends, it's hard to tell if the final price will be
reasonable or excessive. The presence of some good components is not,
in my opinion, cause for excessive enthusiasm. The frame design is
conventional, but the head tube appears a bit thin and the usage of
gussets instead of lugs is not a positive indicator in my experience.
The lack of fenders on a bike that otherwise seems most suitable as a
commuter is slightly odd. The seller is bad at math; the weight of
12.5kg translates to about 27.5 pounds, which is not light at all for
a bike with as little on it as this one.

All of this is based on what I can discern from the photos ad listing
text. I have no direct information about the manufacturer. I have my
doubts about the claim that the maker is Italian; there's entirely too
much material getting slipped past European customs without the
    required "Made in China" markings.

I will also note that the seller does not give any indication of being
an actual bike dealer, despite the fact that the unit is new.

Still, if I were in an area where the shipping was not unreasonable,
and the bike was selling for under 160 Euros with shipping, I might be
tempted to bid; the components would easily be swapped to a more
suitable frame if it proved unatisfactory, and at 27.5 pounds for the
bike, that frame is likely to be one that I would not want to keep.
