  1. Around here the local buses have a series of posters on the back advertising
    cycling, although after killing an innocent creature with my bike the other
    day, I'm feeling a bit guilty.

    What was it? I've only ever hit a pigeon which darted out of the verge
    and, unluckily, straight under the back wheel. There were feathers
    stuck to the downtube when I got home.

    Glad you enlightened. My brain kept telling me it must be some
    brown-furred rodent. Or something. Wasps are grouchy at the moment, so
    perhaps better to have it splatter on your bike then you...
