Hi,
Using Bafang mid drives, I have had several issues with chainline and gears. At the moment I want to built a (new or used) full suspension bike with a BBS02, but these new mtb's all have 11 or 12 speed cassette. And I know that I will be in trouble with the offset 40T Lekkie I have used with my BBS01. So I would like to stick to 8 speeds, but these are going to maximum 40 or 42T. I am a climber and don't care about speed, and therefore need 50+T., willing to sacrifyse the lower gears.
Can I modify an existing cassette to have this reach? How? Which cassette? Which equipment should I purchase? I have no experience modifying or even installing a cassette, so any advise regarding tools and modifyable cassette's would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob
