So, NOBODY has used it in the USA? Too bad I was hoping I could some feedback... BTW, I know about the Garmin lawsuit; is Garmin afraid?

It's a GPS Bike Computer made by a British company. Google it. -

I'm interested 'cause it uses open source mapping; openstreet maps and it seems to be 1/2 the price of Garmin 800... -

It looks like the answer is "no".You can use open source mapping on the Garmin 800, too.
