I had a lucky escape yesterday. I slowed to let past a
family of cyclists at the entrance to a cycle track. The
last one took their time and I was trying (unsuccessfully)
to track stand. I realised that to maintain my balance would
involved swinging the front wheel into the lamppost and
unclipped both feet and grabbed the lamppost. I didn't fall
over, but did manage to support my bodyweight with something
rather uncomfortable for a few seconds until I managed to
get a foot on the floor. Not my most dignified moment.
