Brompton-esque mudguards in 20"

yesterday but the SKS ones were only shown on the box as going down to

Well, they must be /reasonably/ standard 'cause they're an option on all
the HP Velotchnik 'bents, and all of them have at least 1 20" wheel.

Normally I'd suggest you call Kinetics for this sort of thing, but Ben's
off to Germany for a bike show this week. If you haven't found any by
the end of the week, I'd call Kinetics...

narrower than the current ones which look like a boy racer Fiesta
popular with flared arches but standard tyres.

ones that are used on the Speedmachine. Since he has a demo SpM which,
IIRC, has mudguards on, it' a simple case of taking the ruler to them to
get the right size.

presumably he has a large stash of front or back ones assuming the SM
uses the same on both sides and they come in pairs. Will try FC first,
gives me a chance to drool over K-max's and Optimae and only down
t'road.

s/Speedmachine/Grasshopper. The Speedmachine has a 559 rear wheel, so the
mudguard for that would look /very/ silly on Martin's folder...

They probably come in pairs if you order them from SKS, but if you order
a bike with two sizes of wheel from HPVel then they just come on it
without the spares.
However, Ben stocks quite a few things of use to people with Silly Small
Wheels (my impression is his main business income is more probably
folders than 'bents), so he could well have some handy, or if not know
the Magic Words to speak to SKS.

Shop locally if you can: aside from being more sensible and quicker in
this case it's just good to do business in person and get the wheels of
good service oiled in return.

Might be worth talking to a Challenge dealer, the Taifun comes with
twin 20" wheels. Though, I've had a set of mudguards for mine on order
from London Recumbents for a couple of months now with no sign. I
learned quickly that buying stuff for recumbents isn't like shopping
for my other bikes. Bah.

My mate Pete has a Grasshopper and the mudguards thereupon look the same as
the ones I've got on the XXL, so they don't look /too/ Carlos Fandango over
Stelvios.

Then I stand corrected. Or rather I sit back in the peerless comfort of
my recumbent seat and am corrected. Thinking about it Roos' Fiero has
SKS on and looks very cool in Marathons with any temperature drop from
popping the Stelvios back on being due to the natty blue stripe rather
than the better match of the mudguards.

SKS did/does custom runs in very reasonable quantities, so i wouldn't
hope to much

M5 do a very narrow 20" mudguard in CF, but pricing is ... very CF like
