A couple of forkfulls of the leftovers I'd put into a snap-lid plastic
box to be reheated in the company break-room microwave for lunch. Rice,
    beef-and-onions with gravy, and broccoli.
....And a cup of that fine commercial-grade farmer-brothers coffee.

It's still too early for breakfast! I'll probably have a bowl of
grits or a couple of pieces of whole wheat toast with a glass of skim
    milk.

for me breakfast was, coffee and a mindless stare out the window....A
    hangover from when I smoked.

Shame on you, Alan! I worry about you.

    Why are you upset?
because I used to smoke, haven't in years?
because I mindlessly stared out windows, a habit I aquired when I
    smoked?
    Or because I like coffee?

I haven't eaten breakfast since junor high school some 30-35 years ago. I
do eat lunch and supper. It's too late to change my ways now.

You must have been a bad boy.

    Sounds like heaven to me...
Certain times of the month I crave carbs and I can't allow it. :-(

You must have been a bad girl (and not the good kind of "bad girl"😉.

I've not eaten yet today but yesterday, I had some leftover steamed
shrimp and fried lean pork steak, heated up and smothered in Oyster
    sauce.

I've got more meat thawing and there is some steamed broccoli in the
'frige. I may make a meat and veggie omelet.

Now that I no longer use alcohol on a regular basis, carbs are the
only bad drug I still indulge in (caffeine doesn't count, as it is a
    good drug).

I have GOT TO get back to low carbing. When I did that, I looked
    great. Now I'm fat again.
Funny, but the song I have on my MySpace profile is Sugar,Sugar:
    http://www.myspace.com/BoboBonobo
In my case, it should probably be Splenda,Splenda.

    Sure works doesn't it?
If nothing else, it'll help you keep from gaining more and ending up
    weighing over #300.

Oh, and it keeps the blood lipid profiles in good order...
