I would have preferred the bread toasted, buttered, and honey instead of
jelly. Oh, and a beer. :~)

Damn, that sounds good! I might do that....only with raspberry jam and skim
    milk.

  6. Fresh salsa leftover from our Mexican dinner Sunday night provided my
    poaching liquid for juevos rancheros.
Olive oil brushed corn tortillas toasted in the oven provided a nice
    crunchy base.

Juevos rancheros is definately a nice breakfast to make to use up that
    leftover salsa.

    Coffee... of course. Kev

  7. 2 eggs sunny-side up, a smoked pork chop, hash browns, toasted "English
    muffin" bread, and grapefruit juice.

No caffeine yet; I might address that deficiency by and by...

Speaking of grape jelly I made some this year for the first time and it is
SO good. Nearby farmer had the concord grapes. I bought a flat and the
kids drank juice and I made jelly.

The day after my cookie exchange I let the kids have cookies and a chocolate
spoon for breakfast. When I set their plates down and their eyes bugged out
I think I said, "Tis the season" also. LOL

Ya know, I've discovered that I was separated at birth from a lot of
the women in RFC. Looks like you were one of them. Mom must've had
    quite the litter!

That's exactly what I had yesterday!

(1/2 onion bagel with a glass of OJ today).

  16. Andy, if you're interested in purity as well as taste, never buy the
El Cheapo peanut butter! Look for a brand where the only ingredients
are PEANUTS! Dare to look at the ingredients in the Skippy jar?

Look for "Laura Scudder's".....PURE PEANUT BUTTER......nothing added!
    Pay a few pennies more!

I like the all natural nothing ever added stuff fine, but for me eating peanut
butter isn't about the divine peanut experience that I think it is for other
people. I'm all about Skippy Super Chunk because it's the peanut butter I grew
up on. I can appreciate that the all natural stuff tastes more like peanuts
and peanut butter and has better (only one) ingredients...

It's not healthy, it's not good for you, it's not even realistic, but dammit,
I love me some Skippy Super Chunk (with strawberry jam on whole wheat).

and the saddest day ever was when David came home with a quart of Stoneyfield
Farms Banilla yogurt and I happily popped it open to find a quart of natural
peanut butter. Sigh. Disappointment on 2 fronts.
