I have been hitting the weights pretty regularly since around May. I go to
the gym approximately 5 days a week and mix in cardio maybe 1 day in and on
the weekend I cycle around 60km on my mountain bike. Lately I am feeling a
little lamed out and my muscles ache a little at the end of the day. I do a
pretty good regimen when I am at the gym, mixing al disciplines of weight
exercises. Since I have started lifting weights many people have asked me if
I have lost weight and tell me that I look good. IBut in fact, I have gained
5-10 pounds and am now 220 pounds on a 6 foot tall frame. I do feel fitter
than I was at 200 pounds just doing cardio workouts and dieting. Any advice
on taking a break on the weights? Duration?

yourself (or burning out) and your body plans one for you. I am
currently resting one week out of every four, and this has allowed me
to bust through my previous plateau. As long as the weights keep
going up month to month I think that I will probably keep resting. The real key is to keep track of what you do so that you can, over
time, figure out what works and what doesn't for you.Jason

Try lifting them, you'll get better results.

Any advice on taking a break on the weights? Duration?Lift light for 2-3 weeks. Cut back on the mountain biking for a bit too.

Duration?5 times a week is a bit much. Drop a day. I take 10-14 days off
two to three time a year. It's not easy to do if you are an
obsessed lifter; force yourself.locker

I take a week (or 5 days) off every month or so, I find
I feel more determined and revitalised after a break -

Then if you weren't a moron, you'd know the original post never showed
up, and since you didn't quote the post, nobody knows or cares WTF
you're talking about.
