'St Kilda Pier' doesnt actually hit any road. whatabout something more obvious like Luna Park, Cafe Racer or the like?

Im ridin in from home as others may be so what about we meet in StK, go Mordy or Frankston (wanna see if Oliver's Hill has been made any flatter by th local council :-). ) and return ?

I know Kereford Rd.. I think I ride behind Luna Park usually..

I'm up for a Beach Rd. cruise, but if I'm riding from Croydon I'll be

we went past the KGrd primary school and then immediately right to Dawsons Creek(that cant be right???) and left up (and I mean UP) alma road which takes you back onto the KGrd/PantonHill rd (dunno the name) about halway between the 2. you head left again and back to near the school but turn right down the usual road that takes you down to diamond creek, etc

the road out to dawsons creek wasnt finished last week however and may not be conducive to shiny new bikes :eek:

I think StK>Frankston is about 45km
and Mt Martha is only a few more

I never realised that some cyclists drive to beach rd, unload & then ride.

I would usually ride down Burwood Hwy but I can ride down Maroondah if
you want to meet up. Which cross road would you prefer?

Note: I've just tee'd up another long ride for Saturday. I'm gonna be
pretty sore on Sunday methinks..

so we can lead a 'normal' life for the ret of the weekend. besides after riding for 20 mins, 10degrees is warm. any higher and you doent want longs! Besides, Beach Rd is flat and you dont get 'hot' along there.

Actually, I like the lower amount of traffic and the
longer light cycles that you get with early morning
riding. Once the sun comes out - so do the cars 🙁

I've considered it but I've done no serious riding for the past month or two
so I'm not up to a ride to Frankston and back, and it's so bloody cold that
time of morning.
