On the crits - if they run A+B.. and lets say a B grader was to get into an A grade brake and clean up... will they get disqualified? I can't see this being much difference to an A grader sitting in on a B break and going for a solo once B has finished.. arh well, fingers crossed we'll find out tomorrow 🙂

You won't get disqualified, Stu V raced B today but he stayed with me (in A) and he got his money

Well that was a bloody good ride. At one stage I thought it was going to
be an ITT then Blah turned up, and waiting around the corner was Rory
with a team of new recruits. Weather was perfect, no water on the road,
and Blah set a pace that didn't kill me from St Andrews to Hurstbridge
(just as well he's out of shape).

Sounds like you had fun...

Ess, TimC, gpl and myself went critting in B, C, A and B, respectively.

TimC finished in the front bunch but out of the money.

Ess won the intermediate sprint in B (which had only five riders).

Gpl crashed on the hairpin on the last lap in A, whilst in the main bunch - looked like superficial injuries... hopefully nothing worse.

I did bugger all and finished one place out of the money (i.e, third). What fun we all had!!!

PS, I haven't met Jono, but he finished fourth in A grade after it looked like he shut it down halfway up the final straight.

Yeah - all good here.. nice hipper, and a chunk out of my elbow.. now onto fixing the scratches on the bike!

Yep - I had a ball. Good company (hi Rory, nice to meet you and the
rest of the guys) and no real pressure is exactly what I needed after
bugger all riding lately. Six of us out was good numbers considering
the crits were on. It was the kind of ride that reminded me it's worth
getting up early on a Sunday.
