  1. That's the only way to get this sport clean. Go after the $$. Phonak
has financed the one of the dirtiest teams in history. IShares is
taking over and financing one of the dirtiest teams in history.

Boycotting the sponsors is the only way to clean up this sport. It's
the only power we have as fans to save our sport.

If all the sponsors leave then there's no money to finance the doping,
    salaries etc.

But I guarantee you there will be plenty of athletes to race every
single event on the calendar...just won't be these doped up [censored] who
    are systematically killing the sport.

  2. Great idea, we'll all boycott Phonak when we go to Switzerland to buy
hearing aids and Jazzys in 2040.

    That'll lern em.

The bad rules, bad enforcement, and bad publicity are causing lost
careers, lost sponsors, lost media coverage.

Did you read what Greg Lemond said?

    http://sports.yahoo.com/sc/news?slug=ap-landis-lemond&prov=ap&type=lgns

    (quoting from above link):
The way three-time Tour de France winner Greg LeMond sees it, 2006
champion Floyd Landis is already a victim.

Even if his backup "B" sample comes back negative -- the results are
expected Saturday -- Landis will be tainted by unfounded claims that he
    cheated.

"If it does come back positive, that's even more tragic to me," LeMond
said, because the pressure to compete against those who are cheating
"takes good people and forces them to make tragic decisions."

If the guy next to you can dope and not get caught, and/or you can dope
with a small-to-no chance of being caught, and if "everyone" is doping
with only a few being caught, and almost all of those caught not by
testing but by phone taps and police raids-- what would you do? With a
whole lot of money at stake, plus your name in the record books, social
    status, etc.

Stop scapegoating. Or are you the perfect one who can throw stones?

If you want to "clean up the sport", start at the top with the UCI. And
[censored] Pound. He's running a dirty game (making rules that can't be
    enforced). --D-y

Get a grip on yourself man. Firstly it is not a sport at that level, it is a profession, they are nor amateurs but professionals.
Withdraw all sponsorship from them and you end up with no cycling at all other than the local club races.
Is that what you really want???
If you do, then you are in a major minority.
Sure I do not like the adverse publicity that dopers give the cycling community, but it is the individual, not the local sport that is brought in to disrepute.
At least that is the situation here in New Zealand, where we can tell the difference between the pro's and us mere mortals.

Just remember what you are, a non-doping SPORTSMAN.

Not only that, I think we should boycott people and businesses who
even talk to or do business with these companies. Let's draw a line
in the sand! It's got to stop!

I'm taking it even farther. I'm boycotting people who talk to people
who talk to anyone related to those two companies. That'll show them!

We've got to think of the children! Please, won't anyone think of the
    children?!

This is perfect! I've been looking for a reason to boycott my mother, and
now I have it since she has subsidized the doping by buying a Phonak
    hearing aid.

I am thinking of the children -- ME!

I promise to boycott your mom, too.

Seriously, my mom has a Phonak hearing aid, also.
But AFAIK she doesn't have the full jersey, kit and BMC bike,
and in fact may never have heard of Mr. Floyd Landis.
Which is one reason this thread, even as a troll, is pretty stupid.

    Ben
    Hey, your mom's a poseur!

    Your mom's a fatty master.
