Anyone seen the Boots 3 for 2 ad on the gogglebox? Leg being shaved - pan up it's a bloke. Next he's in Lycra & cycles away on his bike. I may just buy some stuff from Boots simply because of this one advert! :-D
Cheers, helen s

You wouldn't be waxing lyrical about some bloke other than Big Vern, would you?

While we're talking about bikes in adverts, is anyone else annoyed by that AOL advert? You know, the one where the man getting thrashed in a bike race watches his 3 speed turn into a motorbike and zooms past all the racers? Hmm, yeah ... well done, won the race there didn't you!? Why don't we see it turn into a better bike, and his muscles getting bigger? I suppose it's who they're selling to isn't it ... much deep analasys to be done I'm sure, but yah, you get the idea. -- JJ

Or the rider could transform into ... ... nope, I'll refrain. I've already drooled once today. -- Sig got lost during a reinstall

Remember the scene in "Breaking Away"? Blue collar dad goes upstairs to ask his son, who is obsessed with cycling and so Italy and opera, to turn down the aria he is listening to, and comes back down to Mum looking stunned. "What's the matter?" "He's shaving." "So what's wrong with that?" "His lergs?" Mike Sales

Urm, you mean you don't shave *your* lergs? What type of a cyclist are you?

No - just pleasantly surprised at cycling being used in a posotive way in an advert ;-)
