Might have been a war vet.

I had a similar amusing thing happen one morning about 5:30am. A small group of us ride together at
the local mall. It has a great 1.17 mile loop where we ride hard in a paceline. One morning the same
thing happened to me on my Aero and the guy drafting me thought someone had shot at him. He's a
Federal Parole Officer. He was sure one of his fine clients had taken a shot at him. Honest to
goodness the very next morning we're riding hard again and he's behind someone else and their tire
exploded within about 100 yards of where mine did. He was convinced someone was shooting at him. The
culprit was some glass in the road we couldn't see. He's taken a little time off but, he's back
riding with us now.

A person who lived through one of the recent sniper incidents, or who watched to much TV coverage of same, might react in this way. IIRC the Sheriff involved is on the news again about something.

I don't think it's a meaningless post EZ. You brightened my day when I read it. I started to laugh
as soon as I finished reading it and my girlfriend who was sitting at the dining/kitchen table asked
what I was laughing about. As soon as I finished explaining, she started to chuckle as well:-)

We need more posts like this to make this newsgroup lighthearted again. Too many arguments over
nothing. The BROL forum has been getting rather testy lately as well. By the way, how does the
Bacchetta compare speedwise to your TiGRR? Do you find it more responsive etc?

Thanks Edward! My Aero is a WONDERFUL ride! (Despite a few tire unseat / tube popping {Gun firing
sound} issues) Honestly nothing to do with the Bacchetta Aero bike as a whole. This bike clearly
accelerates and allows you to effortlessly maintain a good steady speed. It really dose not like to
go slow! By that, I've found myself wanting to poke a long and suddenly I'm back up to 18+ mph,
without even realizing I'm rolling "Kinda" fast again. Being able to scoop my little puppy up and
carry it up the stairs to my apt. is nice too, due to the lightness of the bike. Chicks really dig
my bike too! Maybe something to do with that long pole sticking up in the air... ;-) <Grin> THAT'S
the BIKES POLE, not MINE... ;-) I still like and ride my GRR Ti; BUT the Aero really lets you push
yourself to the max, without the handicap of a lounge chair weighted down backside. (Just a FRIENDLY
personal observation, not meant as a snipe towards Easy Racer Bikes) I do feel my SWB legs are
coming around and if I can get a few extra miles in, instead of popping off poor unsuspecting
tourists, via my tire seating / blowout issue, it's going to be a FUN weekend ride!!! EZ Biker :-)
