  1. Michael Boogerd, one of the riders livening up the world championship
road race in Verona, has fallen ill last weekend and is now on
antibiotics for flu. He couldn't do his long training on Saturday in the
hills of Limburg and already withdrew from Wednesday's Milan-Torino. His
participation in the Giro di Lombardia is uncertain.

(some stuff about the world cup too there, but that doesn't apply
anymore after Boogerd did not participate in Paris-Tours. Rabo now only
has 2 man left in the ranking, and are not ranked as a team).

You can't be on anti-biotics for flu, you could be on anti-biotics for
sumpthin' else and still have the flu...

Yeah, wasn't that a topic of discussion here a few weeks ago? Sorry.
Indeed, the webpage doesn't directly link the two.

It's a topic each time a euro pro has flu. So, over here facts prove it IS
possible to be on anti-biotics "for" flu. Which says all about -longterm
    disastrous- prescription practices here.......

But I thought the Netherlands were less dimb in this regard than Belgium,
    France etc.

Prescription of antibiotics for secondary infection may yet be the
biggest risk of mass extinction due to influenza...

It's handy to have an historian to get my facts straight.

But the Rabo team doctors don't mind then ?
Of course many teams have Belgian doctors, but since Rabo has a clean-ish image
    .... 🙂
