Tom: Bombay's new, improved name is Mumbai.

"Calling Dr. Bombay, calling Dr. Bombay! Emergency! Emergency! Come
    right away!"

Since 1996 in fact. Same year Madras became Chennai.

Three years later Calcutta was re-christened Kolkata.

Don't worry: good ol' Delhi's still New Delhi.

Years of british slurring over their IPA's was reversed with this decision.

I'm on the phone with Bangalore every morning. i'm and honorary injun. i
just wish my parents would arrange my marriage already. It would make life

Why? Can't you catch a sheep by yourself?

Aw, now you've got me jealous, Vicar. I'm just an honorary lugan
(Lithuanian). No offense intended toward lugans - especially Chicago
south side lugans - but I'm really more drawn to the intense colors and
flavors and clothes and music and festivals and wimmin of Inja.

yea well you get over that real quick.

    My recent most favorite annoyance is, "i'm sorry your voice is not clear;
please repeat". this invariably happens right after i ask them to send me
the code they've been working on all night.

Hey, send those guys over here. We're working hard trying to restore the
    original name of L.A.:

El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de Los Angeles de Porciúncula,

or EPdNSlRdLAdP, as the locals call it...

    It's a tough sell...
