Body Hair - how much comes off?

I feel like I just discovered sliced bread: It's a depilatory (sp?) device that RRRRIIIIPPPPS the hair out at the roots, at an amazing speed, and with minimal discomfort.

Cost about 60 Euros (what, 70-75 bucks?) and works on all body parts. Had been using wax at home up until now, but I'll never go back. There's no setting up, warming up, waxy mess, etc., and it's a very little machine (made by Braun), in a handy-dandy carring pouch. You can take it anywhere. It even has an exfoliating head that you can use in between times to ward of those nasty ingrown hairs.

Really, I would recommend this type of appliance to anyone, I don't know why I waited so long. I'm going to try it out on my man's back asap! I've been wanting to wax those stray hairs for years.
"Minimal discomfort"??? You've got to be joking. I've got one of those Braun depilatory doodackies, and I reckon the Spanish Inquisition would have loved 'em.

I haven't thrown mine away, but the only way it will ever be used again is if I feel a particular need to torture somebody.

for some people shaving is mainly a psychological thing. if im racing and i dont want to push any harder i think 'well i shaved my legs for this so i better push' or 'i gave up soda for this so i better push harder'

I classify myself as a body-hair-hater, always have, so I leverage my cycling addiction as a socially-acceptable excuse to shave. It's just a cruel twist of nature that I'm pretty hairy to start with.
That's the same way I feel. The poll presenter neglected to mention arms. I shave my arms although it is not all that common among cyclist (don't know why).:(

I shave the whole leg and then some. The girlfriend loves it! It was a good Halloween this year dressing as the bearded lady, the shaven legs just added to the humor.

16% shave private parts?????

I guess as DR Evil says: "there is nothing like a freshly shorn scrotum...it's breathtaking"

Me- whole leg, spare the pubes!:D

I do it all. Don't need no stinkin' body hair. I've tried the professional waxing thing on those pesky back hairs. It worked great, lasted about five weeks, but at 50 bucks a pop, it got old fast. First time was the absolute worst pain, since I didn't know what to expect. After that, it was cake.

Why do I do it? Vanity.

I hate body hair, but mine is rather thick and grows fast, so it would be an exercise in futility. Besides, I'm not "sexy enough" to shave even my legs.
