No ones going to deny he's a great athlete, but from what I've been reading about him he comes off like a spoiled egomaniac.
And I am rooting for Shani Davis in the 1500. I'll bet there is a huge difference in speed skating sponsorhip between a gold medal and anything else, and if some guy from the south side of Chicago doesn't want to screw with his chances of having it all even modestly pay off it is OK with me.

Yeah. But they should drop it now. Neither Davis nor Hedrick are really making themselves look great in PR terms. I'm more tired of Hedrick though. His complaint comes off as if he's mostly ticked that Davis wouldn't help Chad Hedrick in his much-hyped quest for 5 gold medals.
I'm rooting for Marianne Timmer, even though the 1500 isn't her best distance. We got pie at work on Monday to celebrate because one of my coworkers is from her tiny hometown.
