It was pretty bad this year. His hands were flying, trying to put emphatic punch on every third random word. It looked like Kirsten Gum was monkey see-monkey do, 'cause she was getting in on the action too.
In yesterday's coverage, I swear he was sitting on his hands (was it just me?). It was really obvious. That boss figure in the commercial must have had another talk with him. Can't wait to see what's next.

I was going to post something about ole Bubke today. IMO he's doing a bang up job being a "color commentator." Sure beats the run-on sentences: there's XYZ rider attacking up the and he's got the new Giro helmet and you know the last time I rode the Toor Day Frantz and you know Phil...
I think a few more Tours and Vueltas where he learns the art of commentating while the action is going on, and he'll be a good replacement for someone.
Keep up the good work Bobke! Next year they may let you back into the big dance.

This was brought up on a recent local training ride where someone commented that a couple of the gestures look like he's rolling a joint. LOL!

I think this would be good material for another OLN commercial... they try to get Bobke to do his commentary without the gestures by tying his hands to the chair.... and they find that he's unable to utter a word!
But seriously, he's gotta stop that thing where he puts his fingertips together... drives me absolutely friggin' crazy to see it every other sentence...

This brings up the joke "How do you gag an italian? Tie their hands together." Bill C

Really, who the hell cares how his hands are placed together and whether or not he speaks in run on sentences and what about his skull ring I haven't seen it on since he started his commentary while wearing his OLN vest in temperatures "above 32 Celcius which is in the 90s Fahrenheit" and Kirsten Gum sports that sporty look.
