  1. Hey all,

I'm off to the movies this arvo, the 1630 session at the Schonell. Gee
it's great being a student. Who wants to join me?

    Tam

PS Sorry Absent Husband, sometimes work sucks. You might even cop origin
traffic, haha! If it's sunny tomorrow, I'll let you wheelsuck.

  2. *grumble grumble*

*rant about my taxes paying for postgrads to watch movies*

    *face goes green with envy*

I hope you enjoy it... 😉

Absent Husband (trying to work out if he can support a family on a
    post-graduate scholarship...)

It's more about whether you can convince the family to support you...

I went and saw it last sat night and really enjoyed it. Gives you a good idea of just how hard these guys work. There are some amazing shots like the TTT and the alpine scenery, and some very candid comments from Zabel, Aldag et al. The french journo guy they interviewed is a bit of a freak though. "Ze olympics? Pah! Zey are nothing! The world cup? Who cares".

When Zabel wondered how Tyler had the strength for his solo breakaway I couldn't help but yell out "BECAUSE HE'S A CHEAT!!"

Hey AH, I had an 'Absent Husband' moment on the bikepath today. Hooking into a tight left onto the wooden bridge over the ICB with my brain unplugged, I forgot:
    a) it was pissing down
    b) I was on my MTB not the roadie
    c) I had knobbies on
BAM went down like a sack of spuds straight onto my elbow. OUCH! Quick check - phew - no witnesses! 😄

Oh I don't know. I think that's fairly accurate myself 🙂 (other than the
Olympic cycling and canoeing that is)

FWIW - It is scheduled to show on SBS just before The Tour starts on July 1
(2?) on Sat at 9:30, see SBS TV guides on-line for more details....

AAMI said they authorized a replacement from Gold Cross cycles who promptly
rang me up to say my bike in my size is all sold out for 2005 until the new
2006 stock arrives (could be some months?). Now Gold Cross are trying the
distributor in NZ (Avanti is the Specialized distributor in both AUS and
NZ). If they find one unsold in my size/make/model they might lift it from
there, I assume. Else I have to choose another brand/make/model, I guess. Or
wait for 2006 stock and don't ride for a while.... In the meantime 3 weeks
no riding and a few more coming up. Sad.
