Oh Sheldon, I hate to admit this, but you've given me the giggles!
Appetising it's not...
As a matter of fact, I have been wondering if he isn't winding us up.

You know something, I've just remembered that Monty Python film, The
Meaning of Liff. The one where they keep on pushing all the disgusting
buttons until they find the one that works for you.
For me it's Mr Creosote! And that's it, the jig is up! Modom is doing a
Mr Creosote on us!!! OK Modom, you can stop now, we get the joke, we're
putting away the sick bags. And don't you dare use all these posts as
some sort of postmodern art installation, which is what I reckon is
behind it all

Maybe so.... but I will say this tho' - we now have "proof" that he
owns more than just one red plate 😉

Apparently one red and one blue. :-) I think some of Michael's recipes
sound good, but the majority sound contrived and over the top, at least for
my tastes. I like many different foods and many different seasonings, and
many of them highly spiced, but I would seldom considering combining some
of the things he does. As to presentation, most of his plates of food
simply look messy. A little more care in plating would go a long way.
Smudges and smears on a plate can be easily cleaned up, yet he chooses to
photograph them anyway. I don't care what he does as long as he's happy
with it, but it wouldn't do for me.

Are you using a flash for those?
This is a good pic, but still a little too dark. The okra is hard to
make out.
I use the top of my glass top stove to get better light using the
overhead hood light.

Heh. Good job, Om. I did some "tweaking" of my own and I spotted the
okra too 😉
I agree with you about the photo being too dark, for a while I thought
it might be my monitor settings, but after fiddling with the gamma
correction (I think?) on the pic I could see the food much better.
Acually it didn't look as bad as some of modem's detractors made out
(once the pic was fixed).....but I for, one, have started to see the
"funny side" of it. But I am still nervous to post any more pix at the
moment...cos this sure ain't the Ritz 😉

Have to admit you're right... but I did like the soup pic.. that was
one of his better ones..

Huh, your photo shop doesn't have a TP option... I thought you were
going to wipe up all that brown... brown sauce on fish, ewwwwww. And I
daren't ask what's those three little bubkes.. are bunny droppings a
Texas delicacy? I figured out the cauliflower but there's something
offsetting about it sitting there all nekid alongside the white fish.
The okra is fine, only WTF does every piece have to be showcased with
an aura of that fercocktah cobalt... why couldn't they be all heaped
together instead of strewn about with all those gaps, like
rotten/broken/missing choppers when a hillybillyTexan opens their yap.
Anyhoo, the cauliflower and okra are obviously of the frozen variety,
and I'm purty certain so is the fish. That fish was not baked, no way
no how, it was obviously nuked, as were the cauliflower and okra. And
I finally figured out the brown n' bubkes: http://www.gravytraindog.com

I noticed you love Texans..the duffus having the cerebral
hemorrhage here in public and owns 2 plates ain't no Texan..he
wouldn't last 5 seconds on the bull at Mickey Gilley's. Texas has nearly
as many people as NYC, and many road in from elsewhere, including your
current President, Dubbya.
You could be a real 100% authentic TEXAN if:
1. It doesn't bother you to use an airport named for a man who died in an
airplane crash.
2. You use the phrase "fixin' to" almost daily.
3. Someone you know has used a football schedule to plan their wedding date.
4. You've ever been excused from school because "the cows got out."
5. You can properly pronounce the town Mexia and Mesquite.
6. You can remember the name of the last state legislator to introduce a
bill involving castration and he didn't mean farm animals.
7. You know exactly what calf fries are, and eat them anyway.
8. You can recall hot summers by the year they happened easier than you can
remember your mother's birthday.
9. You think that people who complain about the wind in their states are sissies.
10. You know that the true value of a parking space is not determined by the
distance to the door but by the availability of shade.
11. You have owned at least one belt buckle bigger than your fist.
12. A bad traffic jam involves two cars staring each other down at four-way stop,
each determined to be the most polite and let the other one go first.
13. When you hear a tornado siren, you go out and look for a funnel.
14. Your "place at the lake" has wheels under it.
15. You aren't surprised to find movie rental, ammunition, and bait all in
the same store.
16. A Mercedes Benz is not a status symbol. A Ford F350 4x4 is.
17 . You know that everything goes better with Ranch.
18 . You learned how to shoot a gun before you learned how to multiply.
19. You know that "y'all" is singular and "all y'all" is plural.
20 . You are 100% Texan if you have ever had this conversation:
"You wanna Coke?"
"Yeah."
"What kind?"
"Dr. Pepper."

jay, I know this sounds a bit rich coming from me, but if modem's pix
"get you all riled up", try giving them a miss.... I think it might be
good for your blood pressure... Your food pix have all been well
received so you have no worries there. And if you really believe he is
"trolling" then "feeding" him won't help much either...JMHO.

Thanks, but you left quite a few names off of your post. If you see
another one of his pix posted with me and all of the others that you
forgot to mention on the thread don't look..because the comments may be
offensive.
BTW I am a TEXAN..that is why I know he isn't.. but then again Commerce
Texas would only be claimed MAYBE by those that are required to stay there
or maybe the Okies.
