While on a ride through some quiet little traveld roads in southern NJ, two large dogs began chasing
me and a riding companion. I don't know what breed they were but they had fangs that would have put
"Jaws" to shame. Well, maybe I exaggerate a bit.
I didn't have pepper spray, a weapon, or a tire pump (carried CO2) to fend off these
ferocious hounds. We managed to outrun and outdistance these dogs before they were able to
enjoy us for lunch.
My question: What methods have been used by others to get out of such a situation should it happen
again? Maybe I've been lucky, but outside of having dogs bark as I pass, have never had one want to
take a chunk out of me!
Thanks for any advice given about other adventures or hair-raising dog stories!
