Blood doping in Austrian lab?

Given the number of hard core dopers in all sports and the vast sums of money at stake, it is reasonable to assume that there are a good number of secret labs providing these invaluable 'services'. They don't all go to Freiburg.

At least 3 ski runners were recently live banned to have blood medical material in Turin JO...

Once the fabric starts to tear on this infrastructure though...suddenly these previously untouchable important cogs in the network are given some downside to think about. It is just amazing that they have been able to exist for so long without discovery.

Recall you OP... a lot of people have interest in sport (politics, economy, fans, ...) so it's easy to "ignore" it and to think "we have no choice we need to do it because the others are doing it !"

In the wake of OP, a doctor in a north European country--I forget which--said he had athletes coming to him requesting transfusions. He gave a list of rumored operations. There were two in Spain, including Fuentes. Several in Italy. I think one in Austria. I cannot remember the full list. It would be interesting to dig that up and see if it had one in Germany and one in Austria on it.

IBU (Biathlon) is going to use blood passport...sure there is something that they have detected. Reacting now is better than to be in the sh.t later. They have well learned from cycling.

Cycling is leading the way. It would have been nicer if they would have used Slipstream's program, which looks to be a lot more rigorous.
