  1. Has anyone set up their own walking blog?

It seems the ideal combination? Plus easier to maintain & update than a
    traditional website?

Depends what you mean by "traditional website" and how your blog is
served up. In my case it would simply be editing a file I have direct
access to, so no difference in maintenance overhead.

  3. I'm afraid I'm still doing a 'traditional' website, but don't have any
problems maintianing or updating - except the obvious one ... I'd far
rather be out walking than inside doing my website.

    - but will be updated with new progress
in the next week or so)

  4. Ditto really.

I'm happy to post your walks for you if you want them on a 'proper' site.

  6. I've got a walking blog http://lakeuk.blogspot.com but I use it mainly
for posting photos I've taken on my walks and links to maps of the
route I've taken rather than written a log of my walk.

It's easy to do using Google's Picasa2 it's a case of importing the
photos on the flash card then select photos for the blog, add captions
and press the Blogger button to upload it to your free blogspot site.

  7. OK I'll buy it. What's a BLOG?
