We had a great warm spell on Friday, plenty of daylight left to go out for a spin when I got home from work. After preparing all my Propel bottles, I get the bike and notice that the front tire is completely flat. I figured no problem, just needs to be pumped up. I go to pump it up, and all the air keeps coming right out, so I took the tire off the rim and found a tear in the tube at the base of the valve stem - OUCH! Can't patch that, and my spare tube decided to go missing, so I had to take a drive to the LBS to get another tube, I was telling the clerk there the same thing I told my wife - no sooner than I get this tube home, the other spare tube I have will turn up - not necessarily a bad thing though, I'll still have a spare tube because you never know.... I got the new tube and tire reassembled with just over an hour of daylight left, so I still got some time in the saddle. I guess I'm kinda lucky the flat didn't happen on the road....
