Prolly not, but worth a go.

When changing batteries, I take it you're not touching both the top and
bottom of the battery? I'm told that reduces it's life by lots.

Try a battery from say Boots and not Tesco or a market stall.
They're expensive but in this country there is no requirement
for a battery to have X coulombs of charge or a best-before-date.

Try the "Tesco Value Cycle computer" for a mere £6.97. Mine's lasted
quite a while so far.

Mine does quite well although I think the battery has been lasting 6
months which I think is reasonable.

IMO the best thing about these computers is that they haven't changed
much over the years. I bought a Raleigh 5 one years ago and eventually
the screen went on it but they'd stopped making them. Bought
equivalent Halfords one and it fitted the bracket perfectly. For
various other reasons I've had to replace the computer or bracket
(damage, theft etc.) over the last couple of years and the connection
hasn't changed. I'd even accumulated a spare sensor and bracket to
put on a second bike so I can just use 1 computer.
