Dee, Sorry, just saw this post. Georgetown Farms is in Free Union, just outside of Charlottesville.
Believe it or not, I bet your local grocery has it. Even Kroger's carry it in almost every store.
Usually they only have the ground buffalo, but that's great for plenty of dishes. Whole Foods in
fairfax carries most of the Georgetown Farms stuff, as does Ukrops anywhere in the state. I'm not
sure about Giant, but I wouldn't be suprised if it was tucked away somewhere.
Finally, I think you can order directly from them, its not the most costeffect method, but it will
get it to your door.
Good luck and I hope you find some to try!
Nick
p.s. if you do get the ground bison, its also VERY lean. When I make burgers I always add some
olive oil and never over cook them. I also use the meat in pasta sauces, etc. I make a killer
burrito with the bison meat and this terriffic cheadder from Grafton in Vermont- but that's
another post

Virginians don't know that bison used to be native and prevelent to the area. You

Hi I live in Virginia. Went to the site you listed, but they don't show anything about where it
is. I haven't noticed any bison meat around. I shop in the Fairfax and
Manassas

Do you live anywhere close enough to make a suggestion of places to buy?
Thanks, Dee
