Hi,
Is biking good for sore or inflamed knees and ankles ?
Does anyone know of good meds or therapy,
for this type of condition ?
thanks

There's always the remote possibility you weren't trolling with that last series of posts, I guess.
I realize my last post was a smartass reply, but in all seriousness, no shoes, bargain or expesive,
are going to do you much good unless they match your specific running stride and needs. If you go in
a running store and ask what shoe is best for you, and the clerk makes a recommendation right away,
leave. They should be asking you to walk or run back and forth while they observe, asking for your
old running shoes so they can see the wear pattern, asking for details of discomfort of injuries you
experince when you run, etc.
The Asics 2070, 2080, etc. line of shoes are perfect for me, but that means nothing to any one else
unless they happen to pronate the same, weigh the same, etc, as I do.
You are much better off getting running shoe advise from someone in a running store who knows what
they are doing, if you're lucky enough to have someone like that available to you.
Good luck with the injury,
Tom

Do you honestly find the 2080s anywhere near as good as the 2070s? I can't run in the 2080s at all,
but I love the 2070s. I don't know what Asics have done but their new range of runners is terrible.

I don't find as dramatic a difference as you, but they do seem just a bit stiffer and less absorbent
than the 2070s. Have you tried the 2090 yet? The 2070 feel seems to be back. I now have two new
pairs of 2080s I got for less than $50/pair, and one new pair of 2090s that I got for $90, and I
definitely like the 2090 better.

I also have two pairs of 2080s. One pair I ran 1 mile in, turned around went home and haven't one
them since and never will again. I think I'll leave the Asics alone until they stabilise their
models again.
