I see a lot of kides riding bikes with no saddles. Am I missing something here? Are they for tricks
or something? Someone please enlighten me.

Maybe the kids have been told that removing their saddles will make their bikes less attractive to
thieves. You'd think it'd be damn painful though.

Either the saddles been nicked, or it could be a trials bike and therefore have a tiny
'token' saddle!

I saw one yesterday in Tywyn. Tiny frame, disc brakes and no saddle (there was a hole for a saddle
tube though). The boy rode around on some big rocks in trials style. Many pauses and big input
energy pulses - very talented. I suggest he was talented because I once tried a 360 on a street
stunt bike and fell over a lot. And that was in 1985 when I was less old. So - yes they are for
tricks - and bloody difficult tricks at that.

Maybe the kids are helpfully demonstrating that removing saddles does not make bikes less attractive
to thieves.

Or showing the reason why you SHOULD carry your saddle around with you!

I saw one of these in a shop window. No saddle, no seatpost, no hole for seatpost. Clearly one is
not intended to sit down on it.

For those who are really curious visit
trailskings.comtrailskings.comOpen ↗ and view some of the video clips. There used to be some extended (17 Meg)
clips but they seem to have disappeared...I can email them to those who want copoies and who have
large enough mail boxes. Some the stuff is mind blowing.

At the end of the day it is too uncomfortable sitting on a DF bike, only recumbents need seats.

I've got knackered wrists and use voice-rec. Trying to explain "trails" and "trials" to it is just
the sort of thing it's least useful at.

The clips shown are nothing compared to the longer 17 Meg file that was there. I have a
copy...any takers?
I reckon that the riders use anti gravity packs because I can not figure how they manage to leap
vertically and keep their bikes with them as I don't think thay use any cleats, clips etc on
their peddles.
