  1. Hey, I think Sam/Scott[1] was a little put out by our reaction to his
    foray here.

FWIW, I never did object to his forum promotions here.

[1] Can someone *please* explain this Sam/Scott thing?

Boy, that's a lot of work - it must have really irked him to want to go
to that much effort. The only trouble is he is not so much a brave
hermit battling the evil urcs, more a doorstep salesman who wouldn't
take his foot out the door when asked politely and objects that it was
    then slammed on him.

That's just bollocks, he left very soon after he was asked.

He posted two or three different times in a few days without attracting
comment, on the fourth ("have a favourtie bike shop?"😉 he was asked
politely to stop and then posted a fifth time ("Freewheeling running a
stealth campaign"😉 at which people started to object strongly, he
argued and then left. The responses to the first post were friendly,
    to the fifth not.

As one of his contributors YMMV.

Reading Guy's attempt to start a helmut debate on Freewheelin', I was
amused to find that as you have now cancelled your membership, your post
has been withdrawn. Is this a "normal" web forum thing or simple
    petulance? ;-)

Not come across it before but its his forum to do what he wants with.

My reference was to Simon's featuring in
