  1. I picked up 2 mint condition bicycles at a yard sale last week and was

Less than you paid for them, that's for sure. Even if they were free.

This is a troll isn't it?

I'll bite anyway, since it's the hardest laugh I had all day.

You give me $50 and ship them to me and I will properly dispose of the
    junk for you.

  4. Now, now, they're not useless. How could you come off so mean? 😉

Haven't you ever stayed late after a race to watch or compete in the
    "Huffy Toss" competition??

Sell it on ebay as a Dr. Pepper collectible. Ya never know, might be
worth more than the $10-$20 going rate for used Huffys at garage sales.

My first mountain bike (as a reborn adult mtb'r) was a neighbors huffy.
It broke............ lots..... but not before I put about 300 miles of trail
    learning
on it. Then came the Marin ht... ah the memories.

    Now I'm edumacated.........

I beleive the Huffy was made by Kinesis (sp) for Huffy's and Dr. Peppers
entry into the European slope style contests... I know I saw at least one at
the Crankworx festival in Whistler this summer. Could be worth a few bucks
but it could be stolen as well.

The Brittany Free Spirit I know less about. Perhaps sold though Sears.
    Probably not worth much.

For those of you that just have to get one of these there's one on E-bay
right now, current bid is $76.00. The write-up says it made to Dr. Pepper
    specifications, 21 speed Shimano, 26" x 1.95 knobby tires, + many more
unique features which make this a quality bike. Don't go out and
overload E-bay, there's still 21 hours left on the auction.

I've spent most of my money on mountain biking and windsurfing.
    The rest, I've just wasted.

As a fellow Free Spirit (brand) Brittany (model) owner, rock on!!! I ride
one of these on the rainy days. Full fenders, friction shifting, 10 friggin
    speeds!!!!

The saddle is kinda harsh, though. I advise something more suited to your
    special parts.

Whatever you do, don't sell it. It's worth far more to you as a townie
    bike.

Please be aware, however, that these bikes come equipped with 26x1 3/8
tires. This means that the ISO diameter is 590mm. You cannot use
    26x1.0/1.5/1.75/1.95/2.0/2.1/2.25/2.35/2.4 or any other decimal-number
designation tire on these rims. You must use the fractional-sized tire,
    such as 26x1, 1 1/4, 1 1/8, etc.

Don't worry about all the other snobs on the group... your bikes are as
valuable as you make it. In other words, ride the [censored] out of them!
